What are your passions and goals? That was a question posed to some friends the other night. The responses varied between everywhere between being in the word more to caring more to enjoying life. I am on a mission to find what my goal and passion in life.
About 4 months ago I was sitting around at a meeting with a bunch of people and we were asked what our passions were and what we would love to do. I thought hard and at the time I said I want to help people be the best they can. What does that mean.
To me what I am passionate about and what excites me is new ideas and new ways of doing things. The biggest question I keep asking in everything is why. Why do we do it that way? Why can’t we do this? Why not expect more?
Very few people in this world question why we do things. Many people are just fine punching the time clock, going home and not worrying about work. I love to go home and think about work and new ways of doing work. How can we set ourselves apart. I love change. I was talking with a coworker today about how I view change and how he does. I said I don’t want to be good I want to hit a home run and do something no one else has ever done. If equated to poker, I am ready to go all in hand after hand and double my bet.
My passion is finding new ways of doing things. There is always a better way and I want to find it. Once I find better ways I want to share with people those ways so they can be more successful.
